Always go for a set with an aluminium frame. This way it will not rust.
I would always recommend covering over your set when it is not in use. You should always take the cushions inside to avoid them getting damp.
The set above has a steel frame. Is this a problem? Well not really if it has been treated. Most sets like this come covered in powder to stop rust.
If you look after a set like this then there is no reason that it won't last a long time. If you have a conservatory then I would keep it in there throughout the UK winter.
